Daily Maintenance Guide for Molds

Lubrication Management


Regular refueling: Every production shift (such as 4-8 hours), high-temperature resistant lubricating oil or grease must be added to the sliding parts of the mold (guide columns, guide sleeves, sliders, inclined tips, top needle plates, etc.).


Attention: Avoid excessive lubrication to prevent grease from seeping into the mold cavity and causing oil stains or burnt marks on the product.


Cleaning and rust prevention

Clean up burrs and debris: promptly clean up plastic burrs, iron filings, or carbides accumulated in the mold parting surface and slider groove. These hard residues are the main cause of mold compression and collapse.


Classification surface protection: Avoid using hard metal tools to directly remove residual materials from the classification surface. Instead, use a red copper rod, bamboo stick, or specialized cleaning gun.


Cooling water monitoring: Regularly check the mold temperature machine and water interface to prevent local overheating or rusting of the mold caused by scale blockage or water pipe rupture.


Monitoring anomaly

Listen to the sound: If you hear abnormal impact or noise during the production process, you should immediately stop the machine for inspection. Usually, it is caused by the top pin getting stuck, the slider not resetting properly, or the pull rod breaking.


     Product inspection: If there are burrs (flying edges) on the product, it indicates that the mold parting surface may be damaged or the locking force may be insufficient; If the product sticks to the front mold, it is necessary to check the balance of the ejection.
